Q, Which appliances do you repair?
A, We repair all makes and models of electric cookers and ovens.
Q, Can you provide same or next day repairs?
A, Yes on occasions we can provide a same and next day repair service. As we carry a good range of spare parts for many different types of ovens and cookers we can supply a same day repair service, and if we haven’t got the part in stock we can arrange for next day delivery to complete the repair the next day.
Q, Do you charge a call out to quote the repair?
A, Yes but our call out charge is slightly different to other national company’s. We combine our call out charge with our repair fee. Please see below which explains more,
Call out charge?
For a engineer to come out test and diagnose any faults with your appliance we only charge £59.00, this means if your cooking appliance is repairable and you decide to go ahead with the repair the total repair cost is £59.00 plus parts per each repair this includes the call out charge. So your in total control during diagnosis to the repair of your appliance.
Q, If a special order for a specific part is needed can I pay after the repair is complete?
A, If we can source the part from our main suppliers then no upfront payment is required, but if we have to order the part from a different supplier the full quote which includes labour will have to be paid prior to the repair.
Q, Do you repair gas or dual fuel cookers?
A, unfortunately we are only insured and qualified to repair electric ovens, cookers and hobs, you will need contact a gas safe engineer or commercial repairer to carry out the repair.
Q, Why can’t you repair the electric parts of my dual fuel cooker?
A, By law only gas safe engineers are allowed to work on gas appliances. Many company’s will state they can still repair the electric oven of your cooker, but please be aware as a competent company should always carry out certain electrical tests before and after repairing your oven, cooker. For these test to be done probably and safely it would require you pulling out the cooker from its housing which can disturb or damage the gas supply. The gas hoses on cookers are normally to short for you to pull out fully, so it will more then likely need removing and reconnecting again hence why you need a gas safe engineer to carry out the repair.
Q, Can you fit parts supplied by the customer?
A, Yes we can. There is a £10.00 surcharge to fit your own parts, but unfortunately we can’t cover the part under our 3 month guarantee.
Q, Does the repair include a guarantee?
3 month part guarantee
A, Yes and our 3 month guarantee is simple, if the part fails within this time we will replace the part like for like at no extra charge. Guarantee is only valid for the customer at the time of the repair including the address where the appliance is located. There are exclusions to the guarantee so please read these below to make sure your appliance stays covered.
Exclusions:
· The guarantee cannot be transferred to another person (this means if the appliance is sold, given away or ownership is transferred) this also applies if the appliance is relocated due to a kitchen refit or by moving house, as appliance can easily break whilst being moved or in transit.
· The guarantee covers the part only. If the part fails prematurely due to a new fault in your machine, and extra parts are needed to rectify the fault. Then there will be a charge for the extra parts needed plus our standard labour fee of £59.00.
Parts not covered:
Serviceable and moving parts are not covered, handles, hinges, door rubbers and seals, light bulbs, racks, trays, controller knobs.
